The Community Benefit Fund main grant application submission window closed at the end of January 2017 with a total of 17 applications being submitted from groups and organisations from within the five surrounding Community Councils areas and beyond.
The number of applications has grown significantly year on year with this session seeing the highest number yet. The funding applied for has been for extremely varied projects, from the restoration of ancient Clan stalls, improving the habitat for spawning trout, to assistance upgrading a private water supply to a hamlet.
The applications will now be considered at the next Community Benefit Steering Group meeting to be held at Dalavich Village Hall in March 2017.
