Apply Now to the Carraig Gheal Wind Farm Community Benefit Fund for Your Local Project

Applications are now being accepted for the next round of funding for the main grant of the Carraig Gheal Wind Farm Community Benefit Fund. Up to £7,000 can be awarded to constituted groups and there are many local projects which have now benefited from this, for example:

Friends of St Conan's Kirk have been awarded £7,000 towards the cost of restoring the library at the Kirk to allow its use once again as a small meeting room for local groups and for it to be a potential location for documents and archives of the local history association.

Dalavich Social and Recreational Club has been awarded £6,000 to replace and purchase chairs to enable them to hire the Dalavich Community Centre out for social events, weddings, charitable events and celebrations.

Kilchrenan Village Hall was awarded £1,000 for the replacement of some of the chairs and purchase of new chairs for people with reduced mobility.

For further examples of projects that have benefited the local community and inspiration on the sort of projects you could apply for funding for, visit the community page on the Carraig Gheal Wind Farm website.

Further information on the fund and how to apply can be found here. Applications are open until 31st January.
